4l60e oil capacity
What is it...
Book says 5 quarts....Or is that just for dropping the pan?

Book is wrong,takes about 6 or 7 quarts.One with the deepdish pans take more.

Also check the fluid level in N instead of park and there is a reason why.When it is park,the fluid drains out of the torque converter

Just did mine a month ago.
Dropped the pan to change the filter. Took 6 quarts to re-fill to max. level. Stick says 5, as well as the owner's manual, but 5 didn't even register on the stick.
