Coolant reservoir removal?
I didn't want to hijack the other thread about this. 98 GT - 3.8 engine I did a flush at a shop yesterday, but want to clean out the reservoir myself. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...lant+reservoir I followed the steps here, but no luck. I didn't find any nuts to remove, and what it seems like is there is a small, black, plastic insert holding the tank to the frame. Now, I was suggested by people and my brother to remove the support bar, and the air filter box. I took off the support bar, and tried to find a place to take off the box, but again, no luck. I'm wondering where I'm going wrong here, or if I'm doing more than I need to be doing.

Re: Coolant reservoir removal?
The link you provided is only applicable to '99 and up. '97 and '98 have the old style reservoir and the way and where it mounts is different. IMO the best thing to do is get the coolant reservoir kit for '99 and up where it is mounted on the right strut tower so future cleanings or service will be easier.
