2001 4.0L engine runs rough

Sometimes when I start the car the engine actually shakes. It doesn't seem to be hitting on all cylinders. It generaly settles down after a minute or so and runs fine. It rarely happens while driving and when it does is not nearly so severe. Normally this car starts easily and runs well. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
