My Car When I Start The Abs Light Comes On What The Cause Of That Any Idea Can It Be A Faulty Cluster Do These Cars Have A Sensor

Needs to be scanned with an abs function scanner for any meaningful diagnosis.

True. One thing - I noticed that the ABS light came on when my 3rd brake light/CHMSL was burned out, the ABS light would come on. Of course, this could be a more serious problem, but make sure your brake lights all work.

My Abs light was on. I replaced the bulbs in the Center High Mount Stop Lamp and it went out. What a simple solution.

I was looking @ your posting. I have a 94 OLds Cutlass and have a similar problem. My abs light comes on when I start the car and push on the brake pedal. I just chcked my light in the center of the back window and it does not turn on, when I push the brake pedal. I am planning on fixing the bulb problem, if that works, I can get the car inspected, as my inspection sticker has expired. Thanks.

I had the same problem with my '95 Cutlass Supreme. My mechanic told me that the sensor is not reading the braking conditions so the light stays on and you dont have anti-lock brakes. You just have regular brakes which is fine if you maintain them.

Thanks for sharing this, however here in Tx, every car must pass an inspection yearly. I'm trying to get the light to shut off & pass an inspection. Do you know which sensor your mechanic was referring to?

Not sure exactly but he said it is in or near the caliper. I guess it acts like a wheel sensor to read road conditions. Who can help out with this? My name is renchhednot so dont ask me. lol
