need help!!

i've just replaced my driver side door after an accident.i can't get it to work with my oem key remote!how can i reset it(door) to get it working again?do i need to reset my ecu by taking my negative battery cable off for 10-15 minutes?please help????

what kind of car/key system do you have? is it the keyless FOB or the traditional system?

its an traditional system.the key remote operate the driver side door but since i replaced the door it will not open.do i have to reset the ecu or put in the black box from the previous door (wrecked)?need your advice?

I would take all of the electronic locking parts out of the wrecked door and swap them into the new door. Chances are that they are still in working order and this would rule out any funny frequency (security) issue you may be having.
