Flushing the Radiator on a 96 Villager

This is probably a stupid question but should make for an easy answer. I am assuming that I just take the plug out at the bottom and disconnect the hoses from the engine and throw a garden hose in to flush it out. Put plug back in and reconnect the hoses. Is that all that needs to be done. Also wondering how much anti-freeze to add back in. Any help would be appreciated.. Thank you.
