Do not get a Rhino Liner in your truck.

As the title states.

Here is a video and my story I want to share with the world.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_B9mlz_h5g

If you have an acct on you tube, please comment as Rhino is watching the results.

Mods..It has been a long time since I have been here and I could not recall my old screen name. How can I find it? I think it was jus2qik.

Please put this in a better section if you see fit.

Thank you all for your time.

I searched a couple of locations but couldn't find any reference to the name you list in your post. I searched to see if it was previously banned and ran your IP address with no results. Have you moved since you had your last screen name?

I know one guy that is happy with his and has no problems with his yet.The proper preperation is the key having it last for a long time and this was not probally done.

Re: Do not get a Rhino Liner in your truck.

The evidence of poor surface preparation is very apparent in the video. For any coating, about 70% of the expected performance comes from good surface prep. There are instances of rust visible and poor cleaning in all the interior corners. The adhesive that is used to join the floor to the sides tends to collect dirt, dust, and sometimes mold/mildew that is difficult to remove. The overspray is inexcusable.

But I will note that the customer had the Rhino taped off underneath the bed rails (apparently because there are black aftermarket caps installed), which leaves a difficult part to prep, clean and once painted, an exposed edge for early delamination to occur. The lining should be applied first and then add the caps to hide the edge. Of course, we can't always do things in the order we should due to budgets.

I also wonder if some of the dark discoloration is mildew growth which could be removed by power washing...though that may just cause more delamination at this point.

Nonetheless, it is disappointing to see a nice truck (presumed...we only see the bed) turned into a big mess by sloppy work. Good luck with getting it restored.

The top black caps are factory and I pressure washed it about 30 minutes before I made this video.
