Question 98 firebird head gaskets....

I always had my dad around to help me work on my cars, but now I am on my own. Besides that all the cars I have worked on actully have a carb. Well, I blew the head gaskets on my 98 firebird and am in the middle of trying to change them. Can anyone tell me where I can find a motor diagram?

Haynes or Chilton manual. You can probably find them at your library for free.

Thank you. Like I said this is kind of diffrent then I have done in the past. I really wish I was working on a car from the late60's or 70's. It was alot easier.

Re: 98 firebird head gaskets....

Not much different, just a lot more sensors, plugs, and wires to work with...but other than that, they are similar...

Just make sure to use the proper sealant and torque the bolts to the proper specs and in the proper sequence. And you might as well clean out the combustion chambers and piston tops while you're in there. But you probably already knew that since you've done this before.
