Brilliant! Thank You Very Much!!!!!

Now just geting all the GTR's right chassis number some where, some of them are difficult to regonize, but I'll try that.

Attleast I bookmarked these all great links. It's amazing that over 10 years later you'll get these kind of material 95-97 GTR's, material what I really wouldn't expect to see anymore, attleast this quality!

Re: Speedhunters McLaren F1 Topics.

OK Eric, I managed to catch allmoust all of the images. But there is still some which I'm not sure. If I'm allmoust am, I can't find the racing number what could connect to right chassis number. I have a quite good Exel table, where are all the chassis- and racing numbers (thanks Hurstg1), but still I'm lacking some very detail information. Hope you can help these onces?

The image links are here:

1. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...1/interior.jpg

2. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam.../F1/engine.jpg

3. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam.../interior2.jpg

4. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...jerez_0_16.jpg

5. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...jerez_0_21.jpg

6. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...mans_050_1.jpg

This one, I'm 99,9% sure that #49 number is #03R, but is it?! I have missed totally the number 49 my database!
7. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...mans_049_1.jpg

And this one, white one #03R and Gulf GTR #08R?
8. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...randerst_1.jpg

This one I have mark that it would be Le Mans 1997, but I think this is 1996 and chassis is #11R?
9. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...mans_033_1.jpg

This would be easy to find, if I once again would have perfect informations on my Exel table.
10. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...lsinki_003.jpg

Once again, when I read those blogs trhought, I thought my self. "God how I love shortail GTR's."

3. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam.../interior2.jpg <-- 10R

4. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...jerez_0_16.jpg <-- 02R or 04R

5. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...jerez_0_21.jpg <-- 02R because 04R DNF'd at this race and I see the checkered flag waving in this shot. It could be practice or qualifying which would spoil my theory there, but it makes more sense for John Brooks to be capturing the F1 GTRs first ever WIN! which makes it a pretty special photo in my opinion.

6. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...mans_050_1.jpg <-- 03R

This one, I'm 99,9% sure that #49 number is #03R, but is it?! I have missed totally the number 49 my database! 03R only wore #49 at the 1995 LeMans race

7. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...mans_049_1.jpg <-- 03R and 06R

And this one, white one #03R and Gulf GTR #08R? <-- Correct
8. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...randerst_1.jpg

This one I have mark that it would be Le Mans 1997, but I think this is 1996 and chassis is #11R? <-- even the file name says '96lemans' and yes, 11R
9. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...mans_033_1.jpg

This would be easy to find, if I once again would have perfect informations on my Exel table.
10. http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...lsinki_003.jpg <-- poss 22R - at the '97 LeMans the Gulf GTR with the blue mirrors wore race number 40, which was 22R. This file says Helsinki, but I have trouble imagining them switching mirrors from chassis to chassis.

Once again, when I read those blogs trhought, I thought my self. "God how I love shortail GTR's." Indeed!

Re: Speedhunters McLaren F1 Topics.

OK thank you very VERY much!!!!! And especially the few details of the race information!!!!!

Like I said, I was allmoust sure quite of many of those but some detail lack of information and wrong named year gave me too much of choise.

HEH, It's funny how the #03R is allways some kind of trouble of me, and allways mixing up #21R and #23R the red and white mirrows.
And I didn't remember that #06R hasn't allways been yellow-green. Fortunately the Exel table were a big help in this!

The #16R was many of those images, file name said FINA, so couple of images was good details of the rear so I think all FINA file named images were on #16R? I hope?

And ööh....yes the #03R at 95 Le Mans, it was Castrol / West or East / West team number #49? The livery is quite same but what was the correct team?

Yep, It's incredible how some cars makes every single time the same feeling. You have seen "everything" on the Internet. You maybe see any GTR's images of one month, then you see it again, you are everytime "shocked" how good simple short tail GTR looks. This all simplyness and compactness connected the absolutely incredible engine sound and the magic R-letter makes it everything percfect. The racing history and everything. HOH. Everytime I feel like this. I don't know am I the only one.....

Sorry Sami, but most of those pics with FINA in the filename are of #17R.

OK, hmmm I tryed to find the right one, allways mix up with the rear end flag..
Anyway thanks again, fortunately I asked this!

But, yes hmmm the #16R is still on sale at UK, BMW owns #17R, and the images are from BMW's race car collection, so these all must be #17R?!
I should remember this earlier!

And other reason for this is that I have no information of #17R of my Exel table. The tree drivers name I have put on #16R, and that's wrong. Now find the reason for this!

But just in case; if I do FINA images the same once again, to make the correct chassis for them, if it's ok?

The FINA #39, Piquet, Cecotto, Sullivan is #17R, for sure? But is there #16R included these images, perhaps track side if all detail images are #17R?
Hoh this goes difficult, sorry about this!

Re: Speedhunters McLaren F1 Topics.

Actually, this one is easy. All those FINA photos that are credited to Rod Chong which you have linked to here are #17R. The single photo in that list that isn't is image #10 and that is indeed #16R taken at the 1996 LeMans race.

The easiest way to spot #17R is that it has the "Stars & Stripes" graphics on the rear flanks, matching up with its BMW "USA" sponsorship. Also, the BMW Motorsport flag graphic that runs down the center of #17R's nose is blue, whereas the one on #16R (historically) #18R (now) are red.

If you look at shot #10 again you'll see the red flag graphics in the center of the nose. Also, while it is slightly difficult to read the race number '38' on the nose in this head-on shot, you can see the France and UK flags on the windsheild banner which is another identifying feature matching up with #16R's original livery.

OK, thanks for your tips and answer! Finally got it right and in to the future I try to remember these differences better.
Now when I closely watched those differences it came clear, easy if you know what you are looking for.
