Exclamation Modified Trunk For Fuel Cell

First Off this is my first post here and just wanted to say Hey everyone.

Ok well my buddy came to me wondering why his car was not running right. So I took a look at it ( I was ASE back a few years ago). So I went and he was having problems with his engine dying like it was running out of gas. I found that his fuel tank was full of rust. So I suggested a few idea's on how to fix it. He went with the Fuel cell Idea. So after gtting the fuel cell we found that it did not fit anywhere in the back and he wanted to keep his rear seats.
Now mind you this is no normal driver.
Mods done to the car are endless.

454 bored to 468
Complete rebuild of the engine.
Hooker headers
Ford 9 inch with 4:11 gearing
Sub frame connectors with every after market link underneath
Transmission convertion to 5 speed with huge tranny ( sry never looked at it but cost him around 6 g's)
and lots lots more. and I mean lots

But anyways back to the mod we did.

I threw the idea out there for a cheap fix for the project. Chop the trunk and place our own sheet metal the way we needed it for the fuel cell to fit.

So I took some pics after starting the project.

- Sry The pic did not load so I have to post links to them -

The fuel cell fit awesome and we even put the carpet back in and cut it around the modified area so we can here soon fab some aluminum diamond plate in and make it look good.

I hope if you plan on doing something like this, this helps you get a good idea on how it looked and how we did it.

If you have any wuestions on how it was done you can email me at jgreer2009 -at- gmail - dot- com
