Where is the speedometer cable on a 95 Voyager?
So my parents have put off fixing the speedometer cable for at least 6 months now. There are times will it work, but those times are few and far between, so I'm wondering if it's just loose. It worked one morning last week when I was driving to work, but that's it.
So I was wondering where is the speedometer cable located, or how is the easiest way to get to it? I wanted to check and see if it's loose. Also, is it hard to replace the speedometer cable yourself if you don't know much about the wiring of cars? The part itself is cheap and I'd rather just try and do it myself if it's not very complicated. Thanks! |

There is no cable,it is electronic. It could be in the speedometer head or the speed sensor.

Re: Where is the speedometer cable on a 95 Voyager?
The speed sensor is probably the culprit. There is no speedo cable. Mopar has a replacement sensor with a new wire plug, about the same price as aftermarket.
Sensor mounts on the transaxle very close to where the passenger axle goes in. Most likely speed sensor is white plastic with a 3 wire plug. Held in by one (10mm socket size) bolt. |
