Fiberglass Kit for 1997 Aerostar

Hi,

I have an AWD 97 extended Aerostar. The vehicle is ideal for my needs. However, it is starting to rust. Are there any fiberglass kits made for that vehicle?

Re: Fiberglass Kit for 1997 Aerostar

your right the Aerostar is suited as a need truck. but why fiberglass? Aerostars NEED NEED to be rustproofed once a year!!!!! Body work is better left to pros.Glass dose not stick unless you are using Stuff it and then you should know what you are doing. if it is small holes and the metal around is good try. Total washing the truck including the underside grind the area vary clean tap the edges of the area in run wide metal duct tape over the damaged area rub in well. lightly ruff the surface of the tape . apply thin coat of body fill over the tape out and over the surrounding area. when fill is hard sand it close to the contour. apply another coat over the area and beyond . sand it down to 120 prime area two coats and finish it down to 202 grit putty the pits sand and finish with paint
