3.8 water pump removal

There is one bolt I need to remove so I can get this water pump off but it is sort of behind the power steering pully. I also think its one of the long bolts so it looks like I need to remove the pully. Does anyone know what toll I need to use to get that dang pully off? Or am I missing something here and should be able to get the water pump off without having to remove the PS pully?

Thanks

Re: 3.8 water pump removal

Unbolt the powersteering pump, held in by two 13mm headed bolts and you can get to them through the pulley since it has holes in to get a socket in there. There are two pins that may stick in the water pump when removed and do not lose them. They hold the gasket in place on the timing cover.

Re: 3.8 water pump removal

I had to remove the power steering on my 3.8 to replace the water pump. It is not to hard.
