its a 4 wheel drive its not a race car its not gonna handle like a race car in 4 wheel drive. auto 4 wheel drive is useless. if it has snowed use 4 wheel drive it will make life easier and easier on the tires.

my fourwhel drive only works in auto,the transfer case goes into low but the fron wheels dont engage,i have a new front actuator, i have no clue whats goin on,i have been told the clutches are shot,but that makes no sence siin as auto still works,other tell me the switches,i think its the encoder motor on the transfer case not holdin it in 4x4 HELP!!!!

the front locking actuator locks the front axles together...in auto 4wd the front axles are locked.. your problem may be the transfercase or the encoder motor...the fluid in the transfercase should be changed and it should be blue...trac II fluid only...if metal comes out then you know its in need of rebuild...also the encoder motor and the dash switch assy are by far the most common failures... |

My dad had a problem similiar to this with his truck, as it turned out, his right front tire was smaller then the left. You may want to measure the circumference of each tire to see if there is a large disparity.
