i have a 2001 accord lx and im having a problem with the Air Control Idle Valve. (i think)
the check engine light comes on and the rpms are fluctuating between 500 and 2000 in park/nuetral. i read the codes and got "IAC NOT RESPONDING/ LEAK IN HOSES" i checked them and there was no leak from what i could tell. would the only way to fix this problem is to replace the IAC? cuz i dont wanna drop $200 if i dont want to... :/ |

Re: 2001 RPM Problem (IAC)
Just for laughs check your coolant level in the radiator.
Low coolant will surge across sensors and through hoses for temp controlled items and cause rolling idle speed like that sometimes. I haven't looked how that one is set up, don't know if it can cause it on yours. Often did on older ones...
