New video/new question

So, I got to the power steering pump off. Joy! The shift linkage is disconnected also. But I wouldn't have made another video if I didn't have any questions. The video asks the question. Its a question on a part that I have no idea what it is but it looks like it must be disconnected. I'm also borrowing a hoist in a few days. When I go to lift the engine out, is there any special way to lift it out or should i have a pry bar ready to move then engine around alot.

For those who don't know, this is an engine removal on a 1993 nissan sentra 1.6 5 speed.

Re: New video/new question

Actually after seeing the video it way too dark to see. Ill post another video with some light next time. Its basically a black rod much like the shift linkage. It doesn't move like the shift linkage though but it does seem to be attached to the transmission.

Re: New video/new question

The shift linkage should have two cables, one for each axis of the shifter. I can't see anything in the video, but maybe its the second cable?

Re: New video/new question

I thought there was only one linkage to the shifter. It feels loose right now. I know the one I took apart puts the transmission in gear cause i had to move it into reverse to get the linkage to move enough to get the bolt out due to lack of space for the bolt to come out. Whats the second bar or linkage for the shifter do?

Re: New video/new question

One should move when the shifter is moved from side to side, other should move when the shifter is moved front to back.
