Re: weep hole leak
My '02 2.7 has weep hole on drivers side, low. It is a drain for the water pump which is located INSIDE the engine. If you plug it, could force antifreeze into the oil. Antifreeze coming out the weep hole is an indicator the water pump may be ready to fail. (I went thru this on mine.) Also, something to check. the water housing bolted to the block right by the weep hole may be leaking. After having the waterpump replaced, I noticed leaking at weep hole, thought I had a bad pump. Found the housing was warped just enough to leak and was leaking so that it appeared it was coming from the weep hole.
Just something to check. Good luck..... |

Re: weep hole leak
I found out its from the water pump going bad.
it was like $90 for a new one. The tensioner failed causing the chain to get lose and eat at the teeth of the pump. luckily, i found a dissambled car in the junkyard and it took 5 minutes to get a new tensioner. Installed a new pump, re timed everything, fired right up!
