Bought Audi 02' TT 1.8t

Hey guys,

I am almost finished making a deal with someone to get a 02' audi tt 1.8t quattro for 12.5k w/ 68k miles on it.

Is this a good deal?

I heard that the 1.8t engine starts having a lot of problems after 60k miles, is this also true?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
D

Yes, 1.8 engine will have problems, but not after 60k miles. maybe after 150k and only if you won't use syntetic oil

Re: Bought Audi 02' TT 1.8t

I payed about 11.5K for my 2000 Audi TT. It's up at about 96,000 miles on it and the only thing I've had to replace is a CV Boot. Every thing seems to be doing great, with most Audi's you want to have the belt replaced after about 65,000 miles, so I would recommend doing that upon purchase.

Seems like your getting a pretty good deal, as long as there are no dents or dings in the body work... and no major replacements.
