power steering pump

Where do you unbolt the power steering at on an engine? Its not the resevior is it?

The pump is bolted to the front of the motor. Its belt driven, and the lines from the reservoir will lead to the pump and the rack. They usually have 2 to 4 bolts holding them on (you may have to get at them through holes in the pulley face). Are you removing the engine or just dismantling it? You can probably unbolt the pump from the engine and leave the hoses attached so you don't lose any fluid. The same should be true of the A/C compressor.

Yeah, I'm just gonna swap the engine out and thought I could just starting disconnecting things and didn't see where the pump was at.

Yeah, I'm just gonna swap the engine out and thought I could just starting disconnecting things and didn't see where the pump was at. Ill probably have many more questions and videos especially on doing the axles cause I know you have to disconnect them too. And its going to be a slow project with lots of WD-40 cause every bolt on the engine, even the alternator belts acted like they had never come out of their socket before.
