2000 Grand Caravan HELP I have lots of codes and do not know where to start

2000 Dodge Grand Caravan, 3.3L V6 4 speed auto transmission. I got the following codes 0700,0732,0733,0736,0740 and last but not least 1781. I would assume that I should start with code 0700. I need some help with where to start on this. Everybody has told me my tranny is shot but I can't see how, it doesn't go one time and I let it sit for a month and then I drove it for 2 days with no issues then it just goes into what I would say is safe mode and will not move .......PLEASE

Go to www.dodgetalk.com and then the forums, under caravan there is an OBD code list up thru at least '99 and your codes are there.

0700 - Transmission Control System failure (a catch all to let you know you have a transmission problem)
0732 - Incorrect gear ratio 2nd gear
0733 - " 3rd gear
0736 - " reverse
0740 - Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) control circuit failure
1781 - OD pressure switch

To start, I have little experience working transmissions. Everything I'm telling you is based on what I've read on this and several other forums over the years. Hopefully, a true expert will chime in here.

After checking the fluid level the first thing I would do is inspect the connections on the input and output speed sensors (very easy to change and relatively cheap) and solenoid pack (all on the lower front) making sure they are clean and tight. Next drop the fluid pan and inspect for debrie. If you see any debrie beyond the typical fuzz on the magnets you have internal physical damage and it's time for a rebuild. Replacing the tranny fluid and filter in the process sure wouldn't hurt either. Use ATF +4 only.

As stated in the article it's describing Chrysler 5 and 6 gear transmissions but still applies to any Chrysler electronic transmission including your 41TE. Gear ratio codes indicate slipping clutches. Trouble is what can make them slip? The article reveals some possibilities.

One thing touched on in the article is the power from the EATX relay. With the number of codes you're seeing I'm wondering if you are intermittently loosing this power either because the relay is bad or you're loosing power or ground to the relay coil. Might be worth looking into. Keep in touch.
