74 firebird need help please

when i put my car in gear it dies so i have to turn the idol way up so when i put it under load it doesnt diecant figure it out my engine is a 327 bored 60 over 11and a half to 1 compression pop up pistons 4 bolt main cam specs 292 duration 501 lift 202 heads 650 holley carb rpm air gap intake manifold hooker headers turbo 400 trans with2500 stall msd pro billet distributor....anyway ive tryed everything 3 diffrent carbs 2 fuelpumps diffrent intake manifolds i just dont know what it is another thing it does is give me nothing if i try to bury the throttle it just spits and stalls feels like theres nothin there well anyways any idea what it could be?

Try manually pulling the shifter down to 1st gear...you may be stuck in 3rd and at idle, this will stall the engine.

If you are running that high of compression you need to run premium fuel, and perhaps octane booster. That could be your problem.

Also could be water in your tank... due to being sitting for a while... use some sea foam or isoheet.
