Well, here's one of jano11's castings painted! Grey primer and Alclad Aluminium. It's not a brilliant photo but I was keen to get an image posted here as soon as possible. I think the wheel will look even better with a slight wash of oil paint to accentuate the detail and i'll try to get a better photo when conditions allow. Enlarged photographioc images can be rather brutal but please let me assure you that this wheel looks absolutely superb to the naked eye, and is everything I dared hope it would be. The 'chairs & flares' Dino is now a realistic option in 1/24.
If any of you don't like the fact that the wheel is lacking the central hub cap and has the wheel nut and other holes (including valve hole) cast open, please blame me - jano11 designed the wheel exactly as I asked, to suit my specific requirement. I figure it will be an easy task to add any neccessary detail with styrene or whatever.

All people who have ever wanted Dino Campagnolos owe a huge debt of gratitude to jano11!

They are perfect!!! You could use the MFH Dino logos for the center cap.

The 246 1972 Lemans car is the one I am doing. It did not have Daytona seats. The body has more modifications than you might think at first glance.

The quality of the work on the seats and wheels would make them worth
atleast $25.00+ for a set. Quality and limited production resin costs money.

Are you guys going to cast the seats too? I'm definitely interested in a couple of sets as well.

Tom, the 72 LM Dino is the one I have in mind too. I have S27 decals and photoetched goodies from MFH for it. Now the wheels too!
Btw, do you have any reference for the 72 LM car?

Yep, I too think he's done a perfect job!
The campagnolos on Dinos didn't have the Dino logo on the cetnre cap, they had a very subtle 'Campagnolo' script - so subtle, in fact, that it probably wouldn't show in 1/24. On my kit I plan to represent them with a slice of styrene, domed and then painted a slightly diiferent shade of silver than the wheels themselves.

If an identical pair is good enough for everyone, I'm ready to get them cast now. I guess they would then be available ot anyone who wanted them.

I have that set from MFH also. I used my own decals(wich are Cartograf).
I thought you didnt like photoetch window frames?(this was the model I was going to show you at F.E.!!)

Good luck with yours, should be a fun project. I will have mine at the Ferrari Expo 2010 next year in Chicago.

That is true, but the Dino logos would still look nice on the models wheels.

Why dont you cast the seat and modify it, then recast.

I will be happy with whatever you decide Jon concerning the seats! I do think that Tom has the right idea though.
I certainly am looking forward to doing my own Dino with the "chairs and flares" option by you putting this "into production" for us.

I can't say I would have a use for them at the moment, but I don't think it'd be too much of a crisis. Sorry if you've already stated it, but what is the difference?
