1995 neon runnung rough

Have 95 neon running rough, start easy but runs around 1500 and 1600 rpms up and down, any good place to start looking?

Check for a vacuum leak or a hose off. Had that on a 2000 and it was the power brake hose off. Idled fast and didn't have power on the brakes the guy almost plowed someone.

Also check to make sure that your throttle cable isn't too tight.

A bad throttle position sensor can also cause too low or too high of an idle. This should set a code though and cause your check engine light to come on.

Thank, I will double check all hose. It runs 1500-1550 rpms up and down all time. Max rpm is only 4000 rpm before it act like it floods out.

It was the throttle position sensor. Car was hit in front end and push sensor forward so it look like it was still in place. Replaced it and runs great. Thanks for all help.
