Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid
Is the TCC solenoid vacuum operated?
I found a broken vacuum hose between the transmission and firewall and was wondering if this is the cause. The vacuum diagram shows a line between the throttle body and "transmission vacuum module", is the the TCCS? I have a code for the TCCS too. I patched the hose but I fear there could be debris in it. Replacing the hose is much more appealing than dropping the transmission. 1995 Deville 4.9L Last edited by Freakzilla69; 08-03-2009 at 03:46 PM. Reason: Make and Model |

Re: Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid
The TCC is commanded by the pcm to an internal solenoid in the trans, there are no vacuum circuits here. The hose you refer goes to the trans vacuum modulator for upshift timing.

Re: Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid
My check engine light has been off since I patched the hose and the "TC/VCC Clutch Engagement Problem code" - P039" is now "HISTORY".
Other codes are I039 (H), T027 (C), T025 (H). |
