2006 hybrid rear brakes

my mom has 2006 mariner hybrid, its been making a clunking noise from the rear brakes shes going to take it to the ford dealer they said 400 bucks for a brake job
so i was just wondering are the rear brakes on this any different from a standard brake job

If it has rear disk breaks you may need a tool like this.

You can search ebay for a cheaper version or try getting a loaner from Pep Boys,Auto Zone,Advanced,or O'Riley's.
Some new Fords require a left hand type of caliper tool.
