recode or reprogram ecu

Hi dear sirs,

I need to know if i need to recode or reprogram ecu when replacing it with a used one.This is a Land Rover Discovery 1996 v8 4.0 L 223376 km on it.

i have no idea. i was wondering...is your land rover built for offroad. i want to make mine more offroad accessible but i can fine parts for it. i found universal lift kits but i dont know how that would do on mine. i have a 98 discovery v8i.

what do you want to do to it ? I can help but you need to be more specific in what you want to do and were you want to go.
