fuel pump pressure specfications
What should the working fuel pressure be on a 1990 Buick 3800 engine?. Is there a special procedure to checking the pressure? Should one ever use compressed air to blow out the fuel line of possible foreign matter such as rust, specifically, from the fuel filter back to the tank (where the fuel pump is located)?
How can I get this answer directly to my email : [email protected] ? |

Re: fuel pump pressure specfications
You need a fuel pressure gage attached to the port on the fuel rail (35-40) psi., I would not recommend blowing out the fuel lines, back to the pump.

Re: fuel pump pressure specfications
37-41 Psi is the general range for the Vin C 3800... A little lower or higher is ok..

Re: fuel pump pressure specfications
My fuel pump went out today. Have a big trip planned for Thursday.
![]() 104* highs don't help. I drove 15 miles home by turning the key a few times to get the pump to pump some gas. Started it up, drove and coasted. Did it all over and over again the the whole way. Through town, I was stopped some time blocking traffic. Chris.
