Civic drivers side power window issue

Hello,

My 1996 Civic windows recently stopped working. I replaced the ground wire to the master window switch, and that seemed to fix the problem, except now the drivers side window will not work. I tested the motor with 12 volts and it goes up and down perfectly. I am not getting any power from the switch. I have tried a second switch off of a salvaged car, same problem. Any Ideas? are there any fuses that control power for each individual window?

Thanks!

Yes, there are individual fuses controlling each window. Pull your fuse block cover off (in knee bolster area of IP on a `98 Civic sedan), and there should be a diagram on the backside of the cover. Power window fuses are all 20amp and yellow in color. They should be close to the highest numbered fuses in the block. (20 - 24?) Even if fuses don't look blown, try replacing them anyway because looks can be deceiving.
