here we go again...
alright, so my check engine light went on in the GT today...kinda happy cuz it hasnt been running right and been hoping the light would come on.
here are the codes... P0133: bank 1 sensor 1, not a big deal...change the O2 sensor all should be good P0300: my favorite code...Random/multiple misfire. car just had plugs and wires put in it about 10K ago. ran sea foam through it at the same time to clean up the fuel injectors. pulled the plugs earlier today and all look good. what you guys think? 1998 GT no mods 85K on the car.

Re: here we go again...
talked to my dad...he said an O2 sensor can actually cause a P0300 so i guess i will replace the O2 sensor clear the code and see if it goes away.
as far as a sensor...Advanced Auto said my cost was $63, but its a Bosch. where do you recommend i pick the sensor up at?

Re: here we go again...
Better not buy a bosch. I would rather put in a used delco than a bosch.
P0300 is a fun one. Replace the O2 sensor since you have the code, then clear them and see if P0300 comes back. If it does, I might check out fuel pressure next.

$44 is not bad for the O2 sensor.

Re: here we go again...
I'm drawing a blank here guys...help me out.
Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the one at the Ubend right? i dont have a way to put my car in the air to take a look, and i cant remember if sensor 1 is on the downpipe or in the Ubend...edit: nevermind...i feel like an idiot. bank 1 sensor 1 is at the top of the downpipe. i just ordered a Ubend delete for no reason

Re: here we go again...
If you have access to a scan tool that can display misfire data, pull it up before you clear the code. For example, I've seen where a vehicle with 2800 misfires cyl# 1, 6 misfires on cyl# 2 and 2 misfires on cyl# 3 only trips a p0300, but in this example, the problem obviously lies in cyl#1.

the car seems to run rough after startup...only for not even a minute. car runs just fine...unless you get into the gas a little bit then it spits and spudders. but as long as you just cruise it seems to run fine.
