1979 Camaro and a B+m shifter?
Hi
I am trying to to get my friend's camaro back in working order after previous owner cobbled it together They put a b+m ratchet floor shifter in, It shifts hard, No b/U lights, start's in all gears. Anyone have a idea how to wire the shifter to the neutral switch and adjust it? On the driver's side of the shifter there is the micro switch with 4 spade connectors, I extended the wires from the switch on top of the steering column to the micro switch! I got b/u lights in rev,drive,2nd,1st, And still start"s in all gear's. Any ideas would be appreciated!! Thank's, Larry |

Re: 1979 Camaro and a B+m shifter?
you just need to lookup the shifter and make sure you have the right one. there should also be install instructions on their website. or you can call them (B&M). that micro switch is probably your neutral saftey switch.... just needs to be wired correctly.
