Air dryer/ air suspension

I have a 97 olds silhouette with bad self leveling suspension.

Thanks to this forum I have found the shocks (monroe MA824) and a comperssor for less than one shock @ dealer price ($173.35) OMG.

Thanks to everyone for the advice.
Now I am hearing that I must replace the air dryer as part of the rebuild, but cannot find any referance to an air dryer part. Anyone know if the van has one or not?

Hm, I've never heard of a dryer as part of the rear suspension....that doesn't mean that there isn't one though.

No air dryer. Just a foam filter in the frame. Thanks tho...

usually the compressor head [on top of the compressor]goes bad from moisture getting in from a defective seal that g.m. used.it will either short out and blow the elc fuse as fast as you put them in or let the compressor run continuely without putting air in the shocks. g.m. wants $134.00 for the compressor head.

My '02 AWD has an air dryer that lists for $127.84. It is listed for air suspension from 97-05 for these vans (Silhouette, Venture, Montana).
