1986 F150 4.9L Manual - Towing Capacity?
Hey guys I am looking at a local 1986 F150 as a work truck. It has the 4.9L inline V6 with a manual transmission that I understand is very reliable. I am looking for it as a 3rd vehical so it will not be a daily driver. I want it to use for construction work and towing only. At most is will be out once a week to the local hard ware store and a few trips a year towing my boat.
Anyway, my question is will that rig in good running condition be able to tow my boat/motor/trailer (>3500lbs loaded) at normal highway speeds(~65-70) ? |
