seafoam
What's the procedure for using seafoam through the brake booster to clean for carbon buildup? Is this even beneficial? Sometimes I can hear a slight spark knock, or so it seems during accel. Anyone use this stuff? Or don't bother? Thanks

Re: seafoam
Spark knock is this truck indicates a problem as the knock sensors and pcm control the timing to avoid this, I would use Chevron Techron thru the fuel tank first, 90k on mine and no indication of this.

Re: seafoam
Agreed. Seafoam is awesome stuff for engines prone to intake manifold carboning from EGR & works well on stuck piston rings for troublesome engines. This is not an issue with the EGR-less 4.2L. IMO, a spray around the throttle plate is all that's needed.

Re: seafoam
I just seafoamed my 03 TB and it made a huge difference, it is kinda tricky to disconect the vacum line from the break booster beause the plug is apparently made out of plastic so you dont wanna pull or push too hard to avoid breaking it. Other than that it should hep out a lot. Use it on the oil and gas tank too
