i think my 3000GT eating up way to much gas?

So ive owned my 3000GT for about a month i only put about 150miles on it and i spent atleast $70 on premium gas already is that average?Or is my car eating up way to much gas? Also it is smoking alot from the exhaust is that normal? And whenver my car has been sitting for a day or 2 and when i start it up it the engine doesnt sound smooth for the first minute or so ill try and get some sound audio whenever i rev it then it sounds back to normal or quiet (sounds like some screws jumping in the motor)NOTE:1995 auto

WTF? Is premium like $5 a gallon in TX right now? At 150 miles you should still be over half a tank. I get over 400 miles to a tank on day to day driving. I put 600 miles on my car before I spent $70 in fuel.

Something is seriously wrong with your car.

what color is the smoke? if your running super rich that could contribute to poor gas mileage. i dunno about that extreme of a loss though.
were your 150 miles city or highway? i get really shitty mileage when i go through town. like it takes me 1/4 tank to go 30 miles. i hate honolulu

Yeah that is pretty horrible gas mileage. How much does $70 buy you? Is it for the whole 19.5 gallon tank? If you are getting 150 to a tank you averaging about 7.5mpg which is staggering.

DO NOT USE REGULAR! you have to use premium because of the high compression

The owners manual says at least 91 for both DOHC's. Out west very few places even have 93.

HAHA i miss that. the pacific ocean is between me and the closest state. so instead of driving for an hour or whatever i would have to get on a plane for like 5 hours.
