I heard those pics are photoshopped, and there is really a clear piece of plastic holding it up...

It would be a lot better if the clown that built it had the car done right anyhow. Did anyone else notice that it is a Mitsubishi Carisma with Makinnen decals on it? Somehow I just think that it should have Loix on the side windows with the No 2 on the door if it is the Carisma.
How can you be a scale modeller if you don't build the car correctly?

LOL!! I blame Tamiya's muddled instructions for it!! >_<

Anyhow the carisma decals are all scraped off now (I was impatient and didn't use tape, boo!). :o

I think that looks fine overall except for 1.) the carisma decals and 2.) the suspension could be dropped a little further.

Jay,
Oh no, not aimed at Dan, he realised his mistake when he was building his, sorry if you thought I was getting on you Daggerlee.
I was annoyed that somebody can post such a blatantly incorrect model on the net.....and I agree about the suspension to Daggerlee

Nothing meant at Daggerlee at all, wasn't even on my mind when I typed that, sorry again.

Ray

Isn't Lancer and Carisma are same car?
I heard that Mitsi used same car just other names, because in same counties name of car is Lancer and in other Carisma.

Yes they are, but the point is in the WRC, Makinnen drove the Lancer badged version, and Loix drove the Carisma badged version, they never swapped cars at all.
So that model is incorrect as it is a Makinnen with Carisma decals.
Do you see what I am saying?

Yes, I noticed after I wrote message that 'Carisma' sign is on the car.

I have my doubts about WRC cars, but as far as road cars are concerned, Lancer and Carisma are definitely not one and the same. They could shre the chassis, though (correct me if I am wrong as I think I am). And IIRC, in WRC they were also different?

That's just the point Alex, I thought they were different myself, but I have been 'told' otherwise by Mitsu fans so I am not sure....I would have thought a fan of the 'red' cars would know?
Does it matter?

I'm a fan of red cars, but not THOSE red cars I like the Pug team, and next year I will be again supporting the red WRC cars. On a side note, my favourite bike GP rider is ... Max Biaggi. Now, but Max and Marlboro leave Yamaha at the end of the year, so I wonder if Phillip Morris follow Max to his new Honda team.
