Re: 99 intrique

The ABS and TRAC light on together normally indicates a problem with the ABS wheel sensor that is attached to the wheel hub assembly. The wire and/or sensor can get damaged from road debris, ice, snow, etc. Unfortunately, you can't just buy the wheel sensor and replace it. you have to buy the entire wheel hub assembly. If you're handy, it's pretty easy to replace the wheel hub assemblies (no need for an alignment).

you can also try to repair the sensor/wire.

I'll let other answer your second question.

Re: 99 intrique

There is a resistor that controls blower speeds up inside where the blower motor is on the passenger side foot well. Never had this apart, but this is what is soposed to control blower speed.

I'd be looking for a bad blower motor relay. I believe some of the relays are under the hood in that black plastic box above the battery at least with the 3.5L Engine there are some relays under there.

Please make sure to post your engine size with your questions so we know the engine compartment layout. I'm not 100% certain, but I believe 1999 Intrigues were avalible with both the 3.8 and the 3.5L.
