How much miles per gallon should I be getting?

I have a 78 nove with a V8... I don't know the exact size though. But would anybody know how many miles per gallon I should get?

Need more info such as 2 door or 4 door , manual or automatic shift , your driving habits , city or open road driving , how much junk ( non needed items ) are carried in the car on a regular basis , and do you normally drive alone or have a group with you ? I would Google " 1978 Chevrolet Nova specifications " . This should get you info including Government MPG rating . Update us with what you find out .

78 eh, thats gonna be crap. you probably have a 305 i doubt a 350, id say around 15 depending on your tune up and how rich the carb is. i get 10 in my 72 with a hot 350. who buys a nova for gas mileage.
