Is it possible to make a ALDL cable for a 92 caprice? And if so anyone have a guide on putting one together?
Also Im getting trouble code 24. Not sure what this is. At troublecodes.net the generic code says vehicle speed sensor. That anything to do with my odometer and speedometer not working?

I am not sure if in '92 the speedo was digital or analog. I think it is digital (even though it has a dial and looks like an old style one). That being the case, the VSS and speedometer drive are the same piece, mounted on the tailshaft of the transmission in place of a speedo cable. If this part has failed or has become disconnected, then you will definitely get your code 24 as well as no speedo/odo.

Thanks so much for that because this piece DID go bad on the transmission, well get disconnected once after I had the transmission replaced.
