Re: 2000 Regal A/C

I assume you have the dual-zone climate controls? If so, the passenger side temp valve actuator has gone bad.

It would help to post your trim level. LS/LSE or GS/GSE and whether it has the manual dual zone climate control system or ACC - digital/automatic climate control CJ2 since both are dual zone.

Re: 2000 Regal A/C

It is a GS Series II Supercharged Digital/Automatic. But I have a new problem now.
The engine dies like there is water in the fuel. (Added Dry gas, changed fuel filter).
Some times left turn signal kills the engine.

Re: 2000 Regal A/C

Common issues causing the stalling when turn signals are turned on are either the multifunction switch (stalk) or ignition switch.

Since you have the ACC climate control system you can try to force the temperature control actuators to re-initialize. With ignition to off remove the battery negative cable for a short time. You may have to repeat a few times.

Note: With ignition switch to RUN make sure the climate control unit is manually turned to the OFF position first before doing above.

Re: 2000 Regal A/C

Hey guys! I have the same issue.. friend of mine told me something like that but how find the passenger side blend door actuator? i didn't try to disconnect the battery yet to see any change on my A/C because driver's vents blow warm air and the passenger cool but no cold air and none in between defrost(windshield) or floor sides...

Welcome to AF.

Check the refrigerant charge.

Re: 2000 Regal A/C

my car is a regal gs sc 2001 127k miles freon is between green & yellow gauge marks, I was losing the cool air 4 months ago, then when summer start in Arizona I mean in April gets worst... last year I got a serious electric problems due a battery who exploted because of the heat in the desert, burning & melting all wires that going to the fuse box center(Black) I'm just finish fixing that problem but I can't find this one...driving without A/C and having over 100's F & dry weather isn't really lovely...

What brand gauge is this? Best to use proper A/C manifold type gauges and see what the charge is based on the ambient temperature or refrigerant evacuated and weighed. Also, high side pressure should be checked to determine if you have other issues like a faulty compressor or other A/C component like a clogged orifice.

The proper charge of R134a under GM revised specs at the low side port is now 36 oz.

Does anybody have a picture of what this looks like and where I can find it on the car?

If your issue is the passenger side actuator just remove the glovebox. Then look to the left and up. You will see the actuator. Look at the center of the actuator and then vary the temperature control. The shaft on the actuator should move as you vary the temperature. BTW - Is this the ACC CJ2 automatic climate control or manual dual zone system?

My problem is the drivers side air comes out warmer then the passenger side. At first hot air comes out then after about 1/2 hour of driving the air comes out cool but not as cool as the passenger side.I have the automatic climate control but I can manualy set the passenger side to warmer or cooler than the driver side.

You can do the same process for the driver's side actuator. It is just harder to get to. Start by removing the kick panel under the dash.

Are you sure there are no other A/C issues? Like refrigerant charge? What diagnostics was run? How cold is the passenger side at the vents. If you can't get that to around 45 degrees F then then you may have another issue. If it is the actuator, the HVAC climate control may just need re-programming.
