I like #1 better, because as a Starter you will have to read everything, at least IMO. and it reads a lot easier. If someone wants to find just a specific part, he can always use the search option of his browser to find that word in the text.. Works fine for me. But have to agree that #2 is a lot more controlled, but still like #1 better.

Would you feel the same way if I kept the posts in order in ver2?

It would help, but could you post them without you sig..? because that makes it less readable IMO, after every part a sig disturbes me (not that it is a bad sig.... )
In #1 you can read continously without to much scrolling, in #2 it is harder. (and yes, im not so fond of scrolling while reading important stuff.. )

Do you mean avatar (at left) or signature (below)? I turned off my signature, didn't I?

I meant the avatar, just mixed them up (it was late for me..) and the little bar with profile pm etc. are in the way , if they could be removed from the faq it would be readable with less scrolling, or so i think.

I'm definately for Version 2. I can imagine it might stink on this particular forum as sometimes pages load REALLY slow (even with a 1.7+Mb cable connection), but for me it's a lot easier to have everything condensed so you don't have to scroll through too much literature to find what you want.

It's like looking at a table of contents vs. paging through the book.

Also, if you go with 2, consider some spacing of topics to make everything a little easier still...

example:

Topic 1
link

topic 2
link

----or---- (maybe)

topic 1
link
-----------------------
topic 2
link

You get the idea. To me it's a lot easier than:
topic
link
topic
link

Well.... neither turned out exactly how I hoped, so both will stay up until I get around to FAQver3.0 which will be a .html file that will live on the gallery server... Sooner or later...

Thanks for all the input!
