Question 93 villager back door problem

hi i have a 1993 mercury villager and my dad closed tha back door/latch to hard and now it wont open back up. i dont have the correct handle on it right now. but is there away to open it from the inside.

yes, remove the oval shaped plastic covers for accessing the light bolbs. Reach in with your hand and relase the latch. It has been done.

There is a link in the lower, middle just above the handle.
