2004 Chrysler Town & Country Stalls

This 04 Town & Country 3.8 has intermitently stalled on the highway and will restart right away after pulling over. Has also "lacked power" or "stays running but won't accelerate" after stopping at a red light. Of course it never does any of this for me, and there's no engine light or codes. I am thinking it could be the EMCC solenoid? I'm going to change the trans fluid & filter. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

To clarify, are you saying you press the gas at a stop light to pull away and the engine revs but the van doesn't budge an inch or are you saying it accelerates but more slowly that normal - at least as reported. Would sluggish acceleration be a better term?

Re: 2004 Chrysler Town & Country Stalls

Sorry, the van belongs to a friend and that's how they explained it to me. I was driving it yesterday, got off the interstate after a good 40 miles, and when the stop light turned green and I proceeded to pull out on to the road it seemed to me like the trans haden't down shifted. So yes, sluggish acceleration like it was in a higher gear. Thanks.
