Something "frying" coil pack. HELP

My "mechanic" cannot determine what the problem is. I have replaced the coil pack 3 times in the past 3 months. The check engine light comes on. Then the car starts to miss. Especially up hill. Eventually it is undriveable. The only thing my "mechanic" can determine is that "something" is frying the coil pack. The computer keeps showing a "misfire on cylinder 6", but the spark plug is fine. HELP!!!! I'm at my wits end with this thing.

So you have no spark out of the #6 coil tower?

Re: Something "frying" coil pack. HELP

Well, #1 I screwed up. It's a 96. (my other hunk of junk is a 98) Anyway.... To be honest, I'm not really sure. All I know is that when he puts his little computer on it it reads that the #6 cylinder is misfiring. He'll check the spark plug and wire (all of which are new) and they are fine. Then he finds that the coil pack is "fried". This was replaced about 3 weeks ago. A couple of days ago on my way to work, the check engine light came back on. I was waiting for it to start missing, but it didn't. Ou tof the blue, last night, it went off. It wouldn't surprise me if the whole engine didn't fall out on me. He just can't seem to figure out why the coil pack keeps frying.
