Tail light notice on dash board

I have 2000 GS300 and I noticed a light on my dash, the light is the car with the back lights on. What does that mean. I bought the car used and there is no manual.

It's telling you a light bulb is out in either the left or right tail light assemblies or the upper brake light assembly.

Check with the dealer about ordering an owner's manual, they usually cost less than $20-.

If your bulbs are good, then you will need what is called a cradle from dealer that house's all your bulb's that's is most likely the cause.
Hope it's just a bad bulb.

If you don't mind a bit of wear (though most of them are never even cracked open!) eBay is a good place to find used owner's manuals. Found one for my old pickup for $15 including shipping.

Also, it helps us to provide the year, engine (if you know it), and mileage of the vehicle. Sometimes certain cars have common quirks that we can tune into when we know this info.
