1997 intrepid gauges

1997 intrepid dash gauges all of them , die intermittenly and then at any givein time start working . What would be the controler that effects all dash gauges . or what should i look at first?

i figured it was a short from the previous owners work . My fix to the gauges dieing ? I make a fist with my left hand and raise it so as to give the dash a qwick but firm blow right above the headlight switch on the dash. Works every time! .
