I'm getting gas,spark,no fire

I have a 97 Tahoe w/5.7L I saw a post similar to this but could not find resolution. I have spark getting to my #1 plug but it's orange instead of blue and I'm getting gas buit won't fire. I even tried a little starting fluid and still nothing. It was running fine when I parked it and I didn't drive it for about 2 days and when I tunred the key it cranked really strong but thats all it will do.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
