06 ac problem
Today when i turn on the ac it made a loud sound under the hood and blew hot air, i can fix most things myself, but i cant diagnose a problem to save my life

What kind of sound? I'm going to guess a loud POP possibly followed by a whooshing or hissing? A line or hose might have blown. Start by checking the low side pressure, they make A/C pressure gauges that you can get at an auto parts store. The pressure should be close to the ambient temperature in degrees Fahrenheit. If it's zero, follow all the lines and hoses and look for problems. Also check the condenser. You can fix the problem yourself, but you will need to take it to a shop to have it recharged. If you use those cans of refrigerant, you will have air and moisture in the system which won't let it get as cold, and the moisture can damage seals too. It is also important to get the right amount of refrigerant in, and it's very hard to do with those cans. If you do still have pressure, let us know and we'll go from there.
