93 Camry Timing Mark Question
I have a 93 Camery 2.2L (5SFE) that I need to set the timing due to replacing a head gasket. The Cilton manual said the timing degree is 10B. Is 10B short for 10 degress bottom dead center (BDC)?
The timing marks on the timing belt cover has 0 to 15 to the left and 0 with one mark (no number) to the right. Are the marks 0-15 TBD or BDC? |

Re: 93 Camry Timing Mark Question
"Is 10B short for 10 degress bottom dead center (BDC)?"
No. It's 10 degrees before top dead center. It's usually written as 10 degrees BTDC. There are Toyota factory service manuals stickied at the top of this forum's home page that are available for free downloading. Download the generation 3 manual. It may give you a better description on how to set the timing. Mike |
