rear end swap

Im kinda new to trucks as ive been an import guy for years, but im wondering about swapping my k1500 rear end which has 3.73 in for a 3/4 ton rear end im not sure about the gear ratio in it yet or whats most common. it does have low miles though and it was swapped into a 1/2 ton as well.whats the most common gearing in those models and is it worth it

Re: rear end swap

If you have a K1500, the gear ratios must be the same if both the front and rear diffs.

3.73 is pretty common in the K series trucks.
