Quarter Window and Rear wiper
On my SV6, firstly the quarter windows died operating. I wasn't bothered too much about this for we never use these windows, but after about 3 months my rear wiper also stopped working all of a sudden.
I am wondering if there is a link between the two. I will appreciate any suggestion and guidelines to inspect and correct the issues. Thanks |

Re: Quarter Window and Rear wiper
Did you check the fuses for each item? With electrical it's hard to say if they are related as sometimes failure of one item may lead to something going wrong with another.Plus add the fact that these vans are prone to electrical issues. I do know that the rear wiper motors on these vans aren't the strongest or the best and I've had one fail in my '97 Venture and my '06 Uplander (with the latter being replaced under warranty.) I believe a leading cause of failures in some of these wiper motors is the fact of where we live. In the winter, these motors have to move ice and snow in colder temps, and tend to be used more often in Northern climates. It would be interesting to see the failure rate of these motors in the southern areas of the country or climate.
